In another landmark development, 15-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi earned his maiden India call-up. The teenager has attracted widespread attention with his performances at the junior and domestic levels and is regarded as one of the country’s brightest young talents.
Meanwhile, lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been included in India’s squad for the Asian Games but has been rested for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England as part of workload management.
More details regarding the T20I squad and the upcoming series are awaited.
